There are several side effects that are associated with Casodex, though they may differ in varying degrees. Call for emergency medical intervention should you experiences any symptoms of allergic reactions. These include, among others, difficulty in breathing, hives and/or swelling of the lips, throat, tongue and face.

Serious side effects of the drug include cough, chest pain or trouble in breathing, a shortage of breath even when subject to the mildest of exertion, swelling of the feet and hands, chills, fever, body aches and symptoms of flu, easy bleeding and/or bruising, pale skin, passing blood while urinating, pain in the upper stomach, nausea, passing dark urine, itching, yellowing of the eyes and skin (jaundice), or passing clay-colored stool.

Among the less serious side effects of generic Casodex are breast swelling or pain, hot flashes, dizziness and general weakness, pain in the back and pelvic region including muscle pain, constipation, vomiting, diarrhea or stomach upset, changes in weight, loss in sexual appetite, impotency, or trouble in having orgasm. Other common side effects could include a runny nose, sore throat or other symptoms of cold.

This is not an exhaustive list of Casodex side effects and they could vary between patients.

Moreover, most symptoms of the side effects associated with Casodex usually don’t need any medical attention and disappear quickly. However, should two or more of the symptoms occur simultaneously and last for more than a few days, you must immediately report it to your doctor.  Sometimes even minor symptoms can lead to greater complications.
