Generic Casodex is usually prescribed as a part of a combination drug for prostrate cancer or bladder-prostate medication with another drug known as luteinizing. The medication prevents testicles from producing testosterone. Treatment with luteinizing and Casodex is generally started at the same time. It can be taken with or without food.
Luteinizing is often administered as either an injection or as a minute implant which is injected via a needle below the skin around the navel. Luteinizing injections, usually, are given at intervals of once every four weeks. But again, your doctor will determine the correct dosage.
A 50 mg Generic Casodex, is usually prescribed to adults suffering from prostrate cancer. Children are unlikely to need the drug as a bladder-prostate medication.
Should you miss a dosage, it’s advisable to skip the missed dosage and resume the schedule at the next instance. You should never double dose. Casodex should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from heat and humidity and out of reach of children.
At times, your doctor may alter your dosage in order for you to get the best results. Never stop taking Casodex abruptly, as that may lead to worsening conditions.
